The right home renovations can have a big impact when you sell your home. Considering the amount of money spent on clothing, a home that boast a spacious modern laundry room is sure to get noticed.
Kitchens, bathrooms, pools, outdoor fire pits and decks are often on the list for home renovations and additions. But the laundry room is often neglected and left out of the renovation equation. A laundry room addition or improvement can be done in a very cost effective way that hopefully ensures a return for the expense while providing increased functionality for the current home owner.
This Laundry room renovation/addition was less than 5K. Formally the laundry room was just a box with bi-fold doors that held the washer/dryer and shelf over them. Now there is room for supplies, ironing and properly caring for clothing.
Renovations can be expensive, especially with lumber prices. A laundry room renovation versus a deck renovation can be dramatically different in overall expense with potentially the same splash in the eyes of a future buyer.
