Start’em Young & Pass It On
Are supporters of guns and the Second Amendment a dying breed? Will your children or the next generations tote a gun? Do they even care? Research on future gun ownership can be found at the end of this article but it could spell a bleak future for gun and 2a support by future generations.
Every supporter of firearms and the Second Amendment needs to encourage and support our youth in training, education, history and every aspect of the Second Amendment. When gift time rolls around consider a membership to NRA or a local gun range gift certificate. When old enough and the time is right perhaps make a gun purchase for a young relative. Or leave a lasting legacy of a firearm to the next generation.

According to PEW Research, “of the type of community they lived in growing up, adults who grew up with guns in their households are far more likely than those who did not to be gun owners themselves. About four-in-ten who grew up in a gun-owning household say they currently own a gun (42%), compared with 19% of those who didn’t grow up with guns in their household. While this difference is most pronounced among those who grew up in rural areas – 48% of those who grew up with guns now own a gun vs. 12% of those who didn’t grow up with guns in their household – it is also evident among those who grew up in small towns, suburbs or cities.”
