Green, Ohio – February 27, 2021

The Homeowner reported to the Summit County Sheriff’s Office that a male suspect attempted to steal an ATV at his residence.  After confronting the intruder the homeowner was verbally threatened but the suspect fled only to return a short time later.

The  suspect this time gained entry to the home and was again confronted by the homeowner.  After retrieving a firearm the homeowner gave several verbal warnings and notified the suspect that the Sheriff was en route.  Despite all the warnings the intruder continued to approach the homeowner.   Finally, the homeowner was left with little choice and fired his gun inside the residence striking the intruder in the leg.

The intruder was transported to Summa Akron City Hospital with reported non life threatening injuries according to Sheriff’s Office report.  The Crime Scene unit of the Sheriff’s office processed scene and charges are pending the outcome of the investigation.

The city of Green is a small community off interstate 77 between Akron and Canton in Summit County Ohio.  Apparently homeowner patriots in the area protect themselves and their homes.  Good for them!
